حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَلْحِقُوا الْفَرَائِضَ بِأَهْلِهَا فَمَا بَقِيَ فَهُوَ لِأَوْلَى رَجُلٍ ذَكَرٍ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 2657
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "Give the shares of inheritance to those who are entitled to them, and whatever is left goes to the closest male relative."
