حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ جَاءَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرَدِيفُهُ أُسَامَةُ فَسَقَيْنَاهُ مِنْ هَذَا النَّبِيذِ يَعْنِي نَبِيذَ السِّقَايَةِ فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ وَقَالَ أَحْسَنْتُمْ هَكَذَا فَاصْنَعُوا
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 2655
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) came to us with Usamah riding behind him on his mount. We gave him some of this nabeedh to drink - meaning nabeedh in a water skin - and he drank from it, and said: "You did well; this is how it should be done."
