مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 2363
It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) set out inthe year of the conquest in Ramadan. He fasted Ramadan and the Muslims fasted with him until, when he was in al-Kadeed, he called for a vessel of water. He was on his mount, and he drank whilst the people were looking on, to show them that he had broken the fast, and the Muslims broke the fast.
