حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِيَلِيَنِّي مِنْكُمْ أُولُو الْأَحْلَامِ وَالنُّهَى ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ وَلَا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَهَوْشَاتِ الْأَسْوَاقِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4373
It was narrated from 'Abdullah that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "Let there be closest to me those of you who are the most wise and dignified, then those who come after them, then those who come after them. Do not differ (in your rows in prayer) lest your hearts differ, and beware of the tumult of the marketplace."
