حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسٌ أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ مِنْ الْبَيَانِ سِحْرًا وَشِرَارُ النَّاسِ الَّذِينَ تُدْرِكُهُمْ السَّاعَةُ أَحْيَاءً وَالَّذِينَ يَتَّخِذُونَ قُبُورَهُمْ مَسَاجِدَ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4342
It was narrated that Abdullah bin Mas'ood said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say: "Some eloquence is magic and the most evil of people are those upon whom the Hour will come when they are still alive and those who take their graves as places of worship."
