حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي عَنْ مِينَاءَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ وَفْدِ الْجِنِّ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ تَنَفَّسَ فَقُلْتُ مَا شَأْنُكَ فَقَالَ نُعِيَتْ إِلَيَّ نَفْسِي يَا ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4294
It was narrated that Abdullah bin Mas'ood said: I was with the Prophet (PBUH) on the night the delegation of the jinn came. When he finished with them, he breathed deeply and I said: What is the matter? He said: "I have been given the news of my death, O Ibn Mas'ood."
