حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَمْ يُوَقِّرْ الْكَبِيرَ وَيَرْحَمْ الصَّغِيرَ وَيَأْمُرْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَى عَنْ الْمُنْكَرِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 2329
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA), who attributed it to the Prophet (PBUH), that he said: "He is not one of us who does not show respect to our old ones and compassion to our young ones, [and does not] enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil."
