حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللہِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَسَمِعْتُہُ أَنَا مِنْہُ عَنْ شَرِیکٍ عَنْ حُسَیْنٍ عَنْ عِکْرِمَۃَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ اَنَّ النَّبِیَّ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّی فِی ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُتَوَشْحًا بِہِ یَتَّقِی بِفُضُولِہِ حَرَّ الْاَرْضٍ وَبَرْدَھَا
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 2320
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that the Prophet (PBUH) prayed wearing a single garment that he wrapped around himself, and used its extra length to protect himself from the heat or coldness of the ground.
