حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ بَابٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ احْتَجَمَ صَائِمًا مُحْرِمًا فَغُشِيَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ فَلِذَلِكَ كَرِهَ الْحِجَامَةَ لِلصَّائِمِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 2228
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was treated with cupping when he was fasting and in ill ram, and he fainted. Based on that, he said: This is why cupping is disliked for one who is fasting.
