قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَكِّيِّ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ الْيَمَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُعَلِّمُهُمْ الدُّعَاءَ كَمَا يُعَلِّمُهُمْ السُّورَةَ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ يَقُولُ قُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 2168
It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to teach them this du'a' as he would teach them a soorah from the Qur'an. He said: "Say: 'O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of Hell, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave, I seek refuge with You from the tribulation of the Dajjal, and 1 seek refuge with You from the trials of life and death.'"
