حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ مَرَّ بِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا أَلْعَبُ مَعَ الْغِلْمَانِ فَاخْتَبَأْتُ مِنْهُ خَلْفَ بَابٍ فَدَعَانِي فَحَطَأَنِي حَطْأَةً ثُمَّ بَعَثَ بِي إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 2150
It was narrated from Abu Harnzah: I heard lbn 'Abbas (RA) say: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) passed by me when i was playing with some other boys and I hid from him behind a gate. He called me and clapped me between the shoulders, then he sent me to Mu'awiyah.
