حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا أَفَاضَ مِنْ عَرَفَةَ فَسَارَعَ قَوْمٌ فَقَالَ امْتَدُّوا وَسُدُّوا لَيْسَ الْبِرُّ بِإِيضَاعِ الْخَيْلِ وَلَا الرِّكَابِ قَالَ فَمَا رَأَيْتُ رَافِعَةً يَدَهَا تَعْدُو حَتَّى أَتَيْنَا جَمْعًا
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 2099
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that when the Prophet (PBUH) moved on from 'Arafah, the people began to rush and he said or it was called out to them "It is not righteousness to make the horse or camel rush’' He said: And I did not see any of these mounts raising its feet and rushing, until we reached Muzdalifah.
