حَدَّثَنِي وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَابِسٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَشَهِدْتَ الْعِيدَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ نَعَمْ وَلَوْلَا مَكَانِي مِنْهُ مَا شَهِدْتُهُ لِصِغَرِي قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَلَّى عِنْدَ دَارِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَذَانًا وَلَا إِقَامَةً

It was narrated that 'Abdul Rahman bin 'Abis said: I said to Ibn "Abbas: Were you present on Eid with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH)? He said: Yes; were it not for my being close to him, I would not have been present because I was too young. He said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH)came out and prayed two rak'ahs at Dar Katheer bin as-Salt, then he delivered the khutbah. And he did not mention any adhan or iqamah.
