حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ح و حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الْمَعْنَی قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَسَمَ بَيْنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قَسْمًا فَقُلْتُ أَعْطِ فُلَانًا فَإِنَّهُ مُؤْمِنٌ قَالَ أَوْ مُسْلِمٌ إِنِّي لَأُعْطِي الرَّجُلَ الْعَطَائَ وَغَيْرُهُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْهُ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُکَبَّ عَلَی وَجْهِهِ
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 4683
Saad bin Abi Waqqas said: The Prophet ﷺ gave some people and did not give anything to a man of them. Saad said: Messenger of Allah! You gave so and so, so and so, but did not give anything to so and so while he is a believer. The Prophet ﷺ said: Or he is a Muslim. Saad repeated it thrice and the Prophet ﷺ then said: I give some people and leave him who is dearer to me than them. I do not give him anything fearing lest he should fall into Hell on his face.
