حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَی بْنِ فَارِسٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْيَهُودِ وَالَّذِي اصْطَفَی مُوسَی فَرَفَعَ الْمُسْلِمُ يَدَهُ فَلَطَمَ وَجْهَ الْيَهُودِيِّ فَذَهَبَ الْيَهُودِيُّ إِلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تُخَيِّرُونِي عَلَی مُوسَی فَإِنَّ النَّاسَ يُصْعَقُونَ فَأَکُونُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ يُفِيقُ فَإِذَا مُوسَی بَاطِشٌ فِي جَانِبِ الْعَرْشِ فَلَا أَدْرِي أَکَانَ مِمَّنْ صَعِقَ فَأَفَاقَ قَبْلِي أَوْ کَانَ مِمَّنْ اسْتَثْنَی اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد وَحَدِيثُ ابْنِ يَحْيَی أَتَمُّ
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 4671
Abu Hurairah said: A man from among the Jews said: By him who chose Moses above the universe. So a Muslim raised his hand and slapped the Jew on his face. The Jew went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him. The Prophet ﷺ said: Do not make me superior to Moses, for mankind (on the Day of Resurrection) will swoon and I will be the know whether he was among those who swooned and had recovered before me, or he was among those of whom Allah had made an exception. Abu Dawud said: The tradition of Ibn yahya is more perfect.
