أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَأْتِي النَّذْرُ عَلَی ابْنِ آدَمَ شَيْئًا لَمْ أُقَدِّرْهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَکِنَّهُ شَيْئٌ اسْتُخْرِجَ بِهِ مِنْ الْبَخِيلِ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 3840
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “A vow does not bring anything to the son of Adam that has not been decreed for him. It is just a means of taking wealth from the miserly.” (Sahih)
