أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْصُورٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَی عَنْ النَّذْرِ وَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لَا يَأْتِي بِخَيْرٍ إِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنْ الْبَخِيلِ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 3837
It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم forbade vows and said: “They do not bring any good; they are just a means of taking wealth from the miserly.” (Sahih)
