أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِلَحْمٍ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا فَقِيلَ تُصُدِّقَ بِهِ عَلَی بَرِيرَةَ فَقَالَ هُوَ لَهَا صَدَقَةٌ وَلَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 3796
It was narrated from Anas that some meat was brought to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم and he said: “What is this?” “It was said: “It was given in charity to Barirah.” He said: “It is charity for her and a gift for us.” (Sahih)
