أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْکِينٍ قِرَائَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ عَنْ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِکٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَابَقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الَّتِي قَدْ أُضْمِرَتْ مِنْ الْحَفْيَائِ وَکَانَ أَمَدُهَا ثَنِيَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ وَسَابَقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الَّتِي لَمْ تُضْمَرْ مِنْ الثَّنِيَّةِ إِلَی مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ وَأَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ کَانَ مِمَّنْ سَابَقَ بِهَا
سنن نسائی · Hadith 3619
It was narrated from lbn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم organized a race for horses that had been made lean, from Al Ilafya’ and its finish line was Thaniyyat Al-Wada’, and he organized another race for horses that had not been made lean, from Ath-Thaniyyah to the Masjid of nu Zuraiq, and ‘Abdullah was ainog those who took part in the race.
