اخبرنا محمد بن بشار، قال: حدثنا يحيى، قال: حدثنا سفيان، قال: حدثني سلم بن عبد الرحمن، عن ابي زرعة، عن ابي هريرة، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" انه كره الشكال من الخيل"، قال ابو عبد الرحمن: الشكال من الخيل: ان تكون ثلاث قوائم محجلة، وواحدة مطلقة، او تكون الثلاثة مطلقة، ورجل محجلة، وليس يكون الشكال إلا في رجل ولا يكون في اليد.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلمused to dislike the Shikal among horses. (Sahih) Abu ‘Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa’i) said: The Shikal among horses is when three of its feet have white markings and one of them does not, or three of them are not and one of them has white markings. And Ash-Shikal (hobbled) is not used except in the case of feet, not hands.
