أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ أَبِي بُکَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بُدَيْلٌ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْمُتَوَفَّی عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا لَا تَلْبَسُ الْمُعَصْفَرَ مِنْ الثِّيَابِ وَلَا الْمُمَشَّقَةَ وَلَا تَخْتَضِبُ وَلَا تَکْتَحِلُ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 3570
It was narrated from Safiyyah bint Shaibah, from Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم that the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “The woman whose husband has died should not wear clothes that are dyed with safflower or red clay, and she should not use dye nor kohl.” (Hasan)
