أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَبَلَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَی بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَی بْنِ أَعْيَنَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ إِسْحَقَ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ کَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي کَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِکٍ قَالَ وَهُوَ أَحَدُ الثَّلَاثَةِ الَّذِينَ تِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ أَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَإِلَی صَاحِبَيَّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُکُمْ أَنْ تَعْتَزِلُوا نِسَائَکُمْ فَقُلْتُ لِلرَّسُولِ أُطَلِّقُ امْرَأَتِي أَمْ مَاذَا أَفْعَلُ قَالَ لَا بَلْ تَعْتَزِلُهَا فَلَا تَقْرَبْهَا فَقُلْتُ لِامْرَأَتِي الْحَقِي بِأَهْلِکِ فَکُونِي فِيهِمْ فَلَحِقَتْ بِهِمْ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 3456
Ka’b bin Malik narrated the Hadith about when he stayed behind, and did not join the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم on the expedition to Tabuk. He told the story, and said: “The envoy of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم came to me and said: ‘The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم commands you to stay away from your wife.’ I said: ‘Shall I divorce her or what?’ He said: ‘No, just keep away from her and do not approach her.’ I said to my wife: ‘Go to your family and stay with them until Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, decides concerning this matter.” (Sahih)
