أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاکٌ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ قِعْدَةً لَا يَتَکَلَّمُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ خُطْبَةً أُخْرَی فَمَنْ حَدَّثَکُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يَخْطُبُ قَاعِدًا فَقَدْ کَذَبَ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 1422
It was narrated that Jabir bin Samurah said: “I saw the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم delivering the Khu on Friday standing, then he sat briefly and did not speak, then he stood up and delivered a second Khutbah. So whoever tells you that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم used to deliver the Khu seated, he has lied.” (Sahih)
