أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْعَثِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَبِهَا وَنِعْمَتْ وَمَنْ اغْتَسَلَ فَالْغُسْلُ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ الْحَسَنُ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ کِتَابًا وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْ الْحَسَنُ مِنْ سَمُرَةَ إِلَّا حَدِيثَ الْعَقِيقَةِ وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَی أَعْلَمُ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 1385
It was narrated that Samurah said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘Whoever performs Wuduon Friday, that is all well and good, but whoever performs Ghusl, the Ghusl is better.” (Hasan) Abu ‘Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa’i) said: Al-Hasan (written) from Samurah. Al-Hasan did not hear from Samurah except for the Hadith about Al- ‘AqIqah, and Allah, Most High knows best.
