أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِذَا کَانَ أَحَدُکُمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَلَا يَرْفَعْ بَصَرَهُ إِلَی السَّمَائِ أَنْ يُلْتَمَعَ بَصَرُهُ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 1199
It was narrated from ‘Ubaidullah bin ‘Abdullah that a man from among the Companions of the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم told him that he had heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم say: ‘If any one of you is praying, let him not lift his gaze to the sky, or his eyesight will be taken away.” (Sahih)
