أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُکَيْنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَيْفٌ الْمَکِّيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ عَلَّمَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ التَّشَهُّدَ کَمَا يُعَلِّمُنَا السُّورَةَ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ وَکَفُّهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْکَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَکَاتُهُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَی عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 1176
‘Abdullah said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم taught us the Tashahhud just as he taught us a Sarah from the Qur’an: (All compliments, prayers and pure words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger).” (Sahih).
