حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَائِ أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ حُبَابٍ أَخْبَرَهُمْ عَنْ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ إِذَا رَأَی الْهِلَالَ صَرَفَ وَجْهَهُ عَنْهُ
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 5093
Narrated Qatadah: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw the new moon, he turned away his face from it. Abu Dawud said: On this subject there is no tradition which has perfect chain and is sound.
