حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي سُرَيْجٍ الرَّازِيُّ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ابْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا تَکَلَّمَ اللَّهُ بِالْوَحْيِ سَمِعَ أَهْلُ السَّمَائِ لِلسَّمَائِ صَلْصَلَةً کَجَرِّ السِّلْسِلَةِ عَلَی الصَّفَا فَيُصْعَقُونَ فَلَا يَزَالُونَ کَذَلِکَ حَتَّی يَأْتِيَهُمْ جِبْرِيلُ حَتَّی إِذَا جَائَهُمْ جِبْرِيلُ فُزِّعَ عَنْ قُلُوبِهِمْ قَالَ فَيَقُولُونَ يَا جِبْرِيلُ مَاذَا قَالَ رَبُّکَ فَيَقُولُ الْحَقَّ فَيَقُولُونَ الْحَقَّ الْحَقَّ
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 4738
Abdullah (bin Masud) reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying ; when Allah, the exalted, speaks to send revelation the inhabitant of the heaven hear the clinging of a bell from the other heaven like pulling a chain on the mountain of al-safa, and then swoon. They continue to remain in this recover and say ; what did your lord say, Gabriel? He would say ; Truth, so they would say ; Truth, truth.
