حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَی عَنْ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنِي عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ صَلَّی رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ بِوُضُوئٍ وَاحِدٍ وَمَسَحَ عَلَی خُفَّيْهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُکَ صَنَعْتَ الْيَوْمَ شَيْئًا لَمْ تَکُنْ تَصْنَعُهُ قَالَ عَمْدًا صَنَعْتُهُ
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 172
Buraidah on the authority of his father reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed five prayers with the same ablution of the occasion of the capture of Makkah, and he wiped over his socks. Umar said to him (the Prophet): I saw you doing a thing today that you never did. He said: I did it deliberately.
