حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ هُوَ الطَّحَّانُ عَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ بِمَعْنَاهُ وَقَالَ يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ شَهِدْتُهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْفَنَ لَمْ يُدْفَنْ فِي مَقَابِرِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 3960
The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Abu Qilabah from Abu Zaid through a different chain of narrators to the same effect: A man of the Ansar. . . The Prophet ﷺ said: Had I been present before his burial, he would not have been buried in a Muslim cemetry.
