حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ خَيْرَ التَّابِعِينَ رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ أُوَيْسٌ وَلَهُ وَالِدَةٌ وَکَانَ بِهِ بَيَاضٌ فَمُرُوهُ فَلْيَسْتَغْفِرْ لَکُمْ
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 6491
Umar b. Khattab reported: I heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: Worthy amongst the successors would be a person who would be called Uwais. He would have his mother (living with him) and he would have (a small) sign of leprosy. Ask him to beg pardon for you (from Allah).
