حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا سَيَّارٌ ح و حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ يَحْيَی وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ سَيَّارٍ عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ کُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزَاةٍ فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ ذَهَبْنَا لِنَدْخُلَ فَقَالَ أَمْهِلُوا حَتَّی نَدْخُلَ لَيْلًا أَيْ عِشَائً کَيْ تَمْتَشِطَ الشَّعِثَةُ وَتَسْتَحِدَّ الْمُغِيبَةُ
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 4964
It has been narrated on the authority of Jabir b. 'Abdullah who said: We accompanied the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) on an expedition. When we came (back) to Medina and were going to enter our houses, he said: Wait and enter (your houses) in the later part of the evening so that a woman with dishevelled hair may have used the comb, and a woman whose husband has been away from home may have removed the hair from her private parts.
