حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْکَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَدَعَوْتُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ هَذَا قُلْتُ أَنَا قَالَ فَخَرَجَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ أَنَا أَنَا

صحیح مسلم · Hadith 5635

Jabir b. Abdullah reported: I came to Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) and called him (with a view to seeking permission). whereupon Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: Who is it? I said: It is I. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) came out saying: It is I. it is I.
