حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ وَهَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَکِ عَنْ مُوسَی بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَطَعَ نَخْلَ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ وَحَرَّقَ وَلَهَا يَقُولُ حَسَّانُ وَهَانَ عَلَی سَرَاةِ بَنِي لُؤَيٍّ حَرِيقٌ بِالْبُوَيْرَةِ مُسْتَطِيرُ وَفِي ذَلِکَ نَزَلَتْ مَا قَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ لِينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَکْتُمُوهَا قَائِمَةً عَلَی أُصُولِهَا الْآيَةَ

It is narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) ordered the date-palms of Banu Nadir to be burnt and cut. These palms were at Buwaira.
