حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا وَکِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ اقْتَنَی کَلْبًا إِلَّا کَلْبَ ضَارٍ أَوْ مَاشِيَةٍ نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ کُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ قَالَ سَالِمٌ وَکَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُا أَوْ کَلْبَ حَرْثٍ وَکَانَ صَاحِبَ حَرْثٍ
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 4027
Salim b. 'Abdullah reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: He who kept a dog other than one meant for watching the herd or for hunting would lose every day two qirat of his good deeds. 'Abdullah and Abu Huraira also said: Or dog meant for watching the field.
