حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَی حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَی أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ قَائِمًا قَالَ قَتَادَةُ فَقُلْنَا فَالْأَکْلُ فَقَالَ ذَاکَ أَشَرُّ أَوْ أَخْبَثُ
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 5275
Anas reported that Allah's Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) forbade that a person should drink while standing. Qatada reported: We said to him: What about eating? Thereupon he (Anas) said: That is even worse and more detestable (abominable).
