حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ جَبَلَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ نَهَی رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْحَنْتَمَةِ فَقُلْتُ مَا الْحَنْتَمَةُ قَالَ الْجَرَّةُ
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 5198
Jabalah reported: I heard Ibn 'Umar narrating that Allah's messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) had forbidden (the preparation of Nabidh) in the pitcher besmeared with pitch. I said to him: What is Huntama? He said: It is a pitcher (besmeared with pitch).
