و حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا وَکِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَحُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً عَلَی وَزْنِ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهُ أَوْلِمْ وَلَوْ بِشَاةٍ
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 3492
Anas b. Malik (Allah be pleasedwith him) reported that 'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Auf (Allah be pleased with him) married during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) for a nawat weight of gold and the messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said to him: Give a feast even with a sheep.
