و حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ سَمِعَ نَافِعَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ يُخْبِرُ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الثَّيِّبُ أَحَقُّ بِنَفْسِهَا مِنْ وَلِيِّهَا وَالْبِکْرُ تُسْتَأْمَرُ وَإِذْنُهَا سُکُوتُهَا

صحیح مسلم · Hadith 3477

Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: A woman without a husband has more right to her person than her guardian, and a virgin's consent must be asked from her, and her silence implies her consent.
