حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مَالِکٌ ح و حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ يَحْيَی وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِمَالِکٍ حَدَّثَکَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْأَيِّمُ أَحَقُّ بِنَفْسِهَا مِنْ وَلِيِّهَا وَالْبِکْرُ تُسْتَأْذَنُ فِي نَفْسِهَا وَإِذْنُهَا صُمَاتُهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 3476
A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: I asked Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) about a virgin whose marriage is solemnised by her guardian, whether it was necessary or not to consult her. Allah's Messerger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: Yes, she must be consulted. 'A'isha reported: I told him that she feels shy, whereupon Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: Her silence implies her consent.
