و حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَعْنٍ الرَّقَاشِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَی أَنَّهُ کَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تُنْکَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَی عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَی خَالَتِهَا
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 3440
Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) forbade a person to combine in marriage a womanarid her father's sister, and a woman and her mother's sister. Ibn Shihab said: So we regarded the paternal aunt of her (wife's) father and the maternal aunt of her (wife's) father at the same level.
