و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ جَمِيعًا عَنْ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ أَبُو بَکْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا عَنْ صِيَامِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ کَانَ يَصُومُ حَتَّی نَقُولَ قَدْ صَامَ وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّی نَقُولَ قَدْ أَفْطَرَ وَلَمْ أَرَهُ صَائِمًا مِنْ شَهْرٍ قَطُّ أَکْثَرَ مِنْ صِيَامِهِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ کَانَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ کُلَّهُ کَانَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 2722
A'isha, the Mother of the Believers (Allah be pleased with her), reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) used to fast (so continuously) that we said that he would not break, and did not fast at all till we said that he would not fast. And I did not see the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) completing the fast of a month, but that of Ramadan, and I did not see him fasting more in any other month than that of Sha'ban.
