قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ وَأَخْبَرَنِي کَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ صَلَّی أَرْبَعَ رَکَعَاتٍ فِي رَکْعَتَيْنِ وَأَرْبَعَ سَجَدَاتٍ

A'isha reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) recited loudly in the eclipse prayer, and he observed four rak'ahs in the form of two rak'ahs and four prostrations. Zuhri said: Kathir b. 'Abbas narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) observed four rak'ahs and four prostrations in two rak'ahs.
