حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ أَخْبَرَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا حُصَيْنٌ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَسَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ بَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَائِمٌ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِذْ قَدِمَتْ عِيرٌ إِلَی الْمَدِينَةِ فَابْتَدَرَهَا أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّی لَمْ يَبْقَ مَعَهُ إِلَّا اثْنَا عَشَرَ رَجُلًا فِيهِمْ أَبُو بَکْرٍ وَعُمَرُ قَالَ وَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ وَإِذَا رَأَوْا تِجَارَةً أَوْ لَهْوًا انْفَضُّوا إِلَيْهَا

Jabir b. Abdullah reported: I was along with the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) on Friday when a caravan arrived. The people went to it, and none but twelve persons were left behind and I was one of them; and it was on this occasion that this verse was revealed: And when they see merchandise or sport away to it, and leave thee standing (lxii. 1 1). they break
