حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ يَحْيَی وَحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ وَأَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ يَحْيَی أَخْبَرَنَا و قَالَ الْآخَرَانِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ سِمَاکٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ کَانَتْ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خُطْبَتَانِ يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَهُمَا يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ وَيُذَکِّرُ النَّاسَ

Ibn 'Umar said that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) used to deliver the sermon on Friday while standing. He would then sit and then stand (for the second sermon) as they (the Muslims) do nowadays.
