حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُکَيْنٍ عَنْ مُوسَی بْنِ عُلَيٍّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ فِي الصُّفَّةِ فَقَالَ أَيُّکُمْ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَغْدُوَ کُلَّ يَوْمٍ إِلَی بُطْحَانَ أَوْ إِلَی الْعَقِيقِ فَيَأْتِيَ مِنْهُ بِنَاقَتَيْنِ کَوْمَاوَيْنِ فِي غَيْرِ إِثْمٍ وَلَا قَطْعِ رَحِمٍ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نُحِبُّ ذَلِکَ قَالَ أَفَلَا يَغْدُو أَحَدُکُمْ إِلَی الْمَسْجِدِ فَيَعْلَمُ أَوْ يَقْرَأُ آيَتَيْنِ مِنْ کِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ نَاقَتَيْنِ وَثَلَاثٌ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ وَأَرْبَعٌ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَرْبَعٍ وَمِنْ أَعْدَادِهِنَّ مِنْ الْإِبِلِ
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 1873
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: Would any one of you like, when he returns to his family, to find there three large, fat, pregnant she-camels? We said: Yes. Upon this he said: Three verses that one of you recites in his prayer are better for him than three large, fat, pregnant she-camels.
