حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ وَوَکِيعٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مُغَفَّلٍ الْمُزَنِيَّ يَقُولُا قَرَأَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ فِي مَسِيرٍ لَهُ سُورَةَ الْفَتْحِ عَلَی رَاحِلَتِهِ فَرَجَّعَ فِي قِرَائَتِهِ قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ لَوْلَا أَنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يَجْتَمِعَ عَلَيَّ النَّاسُ لَحَکَيْتُ لَکُمْ قِرَائَتَهُ
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 1853
Abu Burda narrated on the authority of Abu Musa that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) had said to Abu Musa: If you were to see me, as I was listening to your recitation (of the Qur'an) yester-night (you would have felt delighted). You are in fact endowed with a sweet voice like that of David himself.
