حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَکِيمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي رَکْعَتَيْ الْفَجْرِ قُولُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَالَّتِي فِي آلِ عِمْرَانَ تَعَالَوْا إِلَی کَلِمَةٍ سَوَائٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَکُمْ
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 1692
Ibn 'Abbas reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) used to recite in first of the two (supererogatory) rak'ahs of the dawn: Say: We believed in Allah and what was revealed to us... verse 136 from Surah Baqara, and in the second of the two: I believe in Allah and I bear testimony that we are Muslims (iii. 52).
