حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي کَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُعَيْقِيبٍ أَنَّهُمْ سَأَلُوا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْمَسْحِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ وَاحِدَةً

صحیح مسلم · Hadith 1220

Mu'aiqib quoted the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) mentioning the removal of pebbles from the ground where he prostrated himself. He (the Prophet) said: It you must do so, do it only once.
