حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَيْفُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَخْبَرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُا عَلَّمَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ التَّشَهُّدَ کَفِّي بَيْنَ کَفَّيْهِ کَمَا يُعَلِّمُنِي السُّورَةَ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ وَاقْتَصَّ التَّشَهُّدَ بِمِثْلِ مَا اقْتَصُّوا
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 901
Abdullah b. Mas'ud reported: We were sitting with the Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) in prayer, and the rest of the hadith is the same as narrated by Mansur He (also said): After (reciting tashahud) he may choose any prayer.
